Frequently, patients are initially treated and even cared for in the emergency room, due to the nature of most accidents.  It is important that appropriate emergency precautions are taken to stabilize the airway, the cervical spine, and any facial injuries that may have occurred.  Necessary x-rays will be taken and the wounds will then be treated appropriately.

Dr. Guida has extensive training and experience in soft tissue techniques for surgery on the face and head and neck region.  These specific techniques help minimize scarring and promote a quicker recovery.  Sometimes, after an accident, multiple reconstructive procedures are necessary and the guidance and experience of a facial plastic surgeon in extremely helpful.
